Hello! My name is Laura, and I am a new Allied Health Assistant at DWSP. I’m currently completing my masters in Speech Pathology and loving it.
Having studied an undergraduate degree in Health Promotion, I always knew I wanted to work in a space that advocated for people’s health and wellbeing. It wasn’t until I started work as a Learning Support Assistant at a primary school, that I found what I really love doing. I feel lucky to be entering such a rewarding career at DWSP, with the clients being what makes it all worthwhile.
When I get the opportunity to, I love travelling and being in the mountains to ski. When I’m not eating out with friends or family, I’m at home watching the same TV show for the 100th time, or if I’m feeling inspired, I’ll paint, read, or knit.
I’m genuinely really looking forward to starting at DWSP, getting to know the team and the clients and building on my skills to become a qualified speechie next year.
