Laura Metlikovec
Occupational Therapist
Laura is an Occupational Therapist who is passionate about supporting children, adolescents, adults and their caregivers to build confidence and participate in the activities that are most meaningful to them. She enjoys working collaboratively with families to help individuals develop the skills they need for everyday life, whether that is connecting with others, participating in daily routines, understanding and regulating emotions, developing movement skills, or building greater independence.
Laura has experience working across both paediatric and adult services in public and private settings, including hospitals, developmental and autism assessment teams, schools and kindergartens. She has worked with individuals and families across a range of settings, providing both assessment and intervention using a family-centred approach.
Laura believes therapy is most effective when people feel safe, understood, and supported to learn through play and meaningful experiences. She enjoys getting to know each individual, recognising their strengths, and working together to develop practical strategies that fit naturally into everyday life. Her warm, calm and collaborative approach helps create a relaxed environment where clients and their families feel heard, supported and empowered to achieve their goals.
Laura has experience supporting clients in the following areas:
