Have you met Tia?

Hi, my name is Tia and I’m an occupational therapist at DWSP! I joined the DWSP team in November 2021.

Before starting my role at DWSP, I was working in community health with children and adolescents to develop skills in play, gross and fine motor skills, self-care, motor planning, independent living, social interactions, sensory and emotional regulation skills.

I became an OT because I am passionate about enabling access for all and supporting people to do the things that are important to them. I love to spend time crafting and creating new things, such as making pottery, embroidery, and painting. I love using my creativity in a way that can support others and make therapy sessions fun and exciting!

On the weekends, you will generally find me exploring new walking destinations across Melbourne with my dog Tilly, at a craft market, or venturing new and familiar hiking tracks, such as the Great Ocean Road (pictured above).

At DWSP I work alongside such an amazing team of passionate therapists and administration staff, and look forward to continuing to seek out learning opportunities to ensure that therapy sessions are fun and evidence-based.
